My Crown.
This is my crown- rain or shine I wear this beautiful crown with honor as I travel to the different festivals and pageants around the state of Louisiana. Calypso the Iguana may be heavy; and while wearing 5 inch heels, may be trouble to walk through doorways...but every time I put him on my head I remember what a great honor it is to represent Festival Ray*la*ne. Children hold such a special place in my heart, representing a festival for them is such a rewarding feeling. Seeing the faces of all the little girls who dream of one day being a queen gives me a feeling of such pride.

getting MY crown! -July 24
The night of the pageant (when I was crowned) the crowns did not come in. A past Ray*la*ne queen was generous to allow me to use hers until I got mine. We met in the beautiful city of Rayne where Mrs. Marleen (Ray*la*ne director) presented myself along with my two older and two younger queens with beautiful crowns.
